A Great Day and Preschool Enrollment

Today was a really good day.  I got a little work done this morning, I got my hair cut and colored, and then went to lunch with my sister in law, Kelly at Ghengis Grill. We also stopped in Gaga which is now doing some consigment.  I got Gracyn a cute dress for $3.50, not bad.  (So much harder to find cute boys stuff!)

Then, I went to sign the kids up for preschool!  I cannot believe that they are almost old enough to start preschool!  It made me a little sad, but I know that it will be a great experience for them and good for me too.  They won't actually start until late August or early September (the date is not set yet).  It is only two days a week from 9:30 to 2:30 so I will still have lots of time with my sweet kiddos! Even so, it will be an adjustment for me.  I miss them now if I am gone longer than a few hours.

Then, my other sister in law, Katie came over this evening to play with the kids.  The kids had a good time and so did Katie.  Ethan and Gracyn got her soaking wet while she gave them a bath.  Then, Ethan who is usually my more mellow child was super hyper.  It was pretty funny seeing him all amped up.

As a perfect ending to my great day, Ethan fell asleep on me and I got to snuggle with him for awhile.  These days it is tough to get any snuggle time in with either one of them.  They are too busy!

A Day at the Zoo

Today we went to the zoo with Yaya (Andy's mom) and his sister Kelly.  The kids had a great time and the weather was nice!  Gracyn was surprisingly a little timid at first, but after she got warmed up and started recognizing the animals she started having fun.  Ethan loved it the whole time.  He is so funny when he is observing something new!  He gets very quiet and takes everything in.  He also does a lot of pointing!

After the zoo we went to lunch. Then, as soon as we got home you think the kids would have passed out right? No, it took Gracyn about 30 minutes to go to sleep and Ethan played in his crib for about an hour.  It was pretty funny watching him do head stands on the monitor!

Tonight Andy watched the kids and so I could go eat with my sister.  We went to Junkyard Dawgs.  It was pretty good and cheap which is always nice.  Then, we did a little shopping.  I got a couple of new shirts.  Yay!

Sleeping in and Celebrating a Good Friend's Birthday

This morning Ethan and Gracyn actually slept until a little after 9:00 a.m. and I slept in too!  It was really nice to get a little extra sleep!  Then, we got up and played and had breakfast.  Ethan loves to play in Gracyn's crib with her.  He gets so excited and starts giggling and jumping up and down everytime I put him in there with her.  Then he will act like he wants out and as soon as reach for him he crawls to the farthest corner away from me giggling.  It is so fun to watch them play together!

 Besides a quick trip to Wal-Mart we really just played at home most of the day.  The kids were in great moods.  They had one nap from about 12:30 - 2:00 and I got most everything I needed to get accomplished finished during that time.

This evening my sister came over for dinner and then watched the kids while we went to our Marriage Oneness class at church.  It was good to have an evening out with my husband and the marriage class we are taking has really been fun.  I think it is so important to always keep working on improving your marriage, especially once you have kids and your lives get crazy!

Then, this evening our good friend Beau came over and we celebrated his birthday.  I made a German Chocolate Cake and we all just spent the evening talking.  We are blessed to have such great friends!  Beau is an amazing guy (he even got up in the middle of the night and helped us take care of the twins when they were really little!)

Busy Day

Today was a very busy, but fun day. On Tuesdays I recently starting working from home most of the day while a babysitter comes to the house to take care of the kids. It has been wonderful! I can get so much done, run errands, schedule appointments, etc. And the babysitter is fantastic with my kids and even does a great job keeping everything very clean!

So, this morning I had a drs. appointment at 9 am and then worked the rest of the morning on creating an llc and began drafting a new estate plan for a client. Then, kids had hearing screanings at 2:30. They both passed, but because of their recurrent ear infections and a little fluid in Gracyn's ears we have to go back in three months. Fun!!

Tonight I went to the TMOM's meeting and had a great time talking with adults! I really need to get out more. Haha! It was good to see several other twin mommies I had not seen in awhile.

When I got home Andy and I watched a movie together. It was a busy, but great day overall!
